Gelotag 1.0
Description
Hello! This is Gelotag, a handmade BLE-enabled tracking device powered by an ESP32. It connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone and allows you to activate a small buzzer remotely, helping you locate whatever it's attached to.
Gelotag includes a built-in rechargeable LiPo battery (250 mAh) and a TP4056 charging module.
You can find the source code on GitHub, and the .stl files of the 3d model on Thingiverse.

FAQ
- Does it work everywhere?
- No, it only works within Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) range — typically 10 to 20 meters indoors, and up to 50 meters outdoors.
- How long does the battery last?
- With a 250 mAh LiPo battery and mostly idle operation, battery life is around one week.
